The Most Evocative Ad of the Summer

















All summer long we have been inundated with billboards and banners of this big bosomed lady. For most, visions of Italy include ruby red wines, Michelangelo's David, and plates over flowing with pasta, but this company (a ferry boat line between Naples and Catania, Sicily) managed to capture- in one succinct image- the idea you should never be far from either Mount Vesuvius or Etna!

This photo was taken at the train station in downtown Naples. There are actually multiple images- same lady- different positions. For a giant pop-up of 'them' you'll have to visit their website. One has to wonder that while certainly web traffic picked up, did ferry service?
