It's HERE! It's REALLY HERE!

Yes, the book is FINALLY HERE!

It is some what surreal to see my own name on Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com. This project has been years in the making, really, years. It seems like it deserved some sort of celebration, popping of the cork, freeing of doves. Or at least a message, "ahem, check Amazon. You title has been listed..." love your Publisher. But the publisher didn't know either. You just fill out the paperwork and wait. One day you think, I wonder... so your surf over and viola! Your book, on Amazon! Where was the fanfare?!

Well, here it is. I'm giving it to you right now! For readers, friends, and family (who aren't already getting one for Chrismas or really feel like they need more than one!) the good news is that my publisher has agreed to give a $10.00 discount (Retail is $32.00) when you purchase through this blog. In this way I can say "Thank You" for helping me along this bumpy little road and "Thank You" for reading.

If you would like a signed copy (really, it's just me... but some people have asked!) just say so in the "Add special instructions to the seller". Also, if you have a specific message you want on the inside cover, just let me know. A signed copy means it will come directly from me in Italy. So, you will wait a wee bit longer to get your copy. But I promise, it won't be too long of a wait. If you don't care, then the book will ship from the US.

Or if you are ready to buy, just click the button below!

It feels so strange publishing this post. I mean, I HAVE A BOOK ON AMAZON.COM? Insane. But it truly would not have been possible without Gemelli Press, Kari Hock (my cohort in crime), Kathleen and Michelle (my golden editors), Chris (who brought me to Italy), my Mom (and her endless support!), and everyone else who stopped by to peek at the blog and read my articles. Oh, and how could I forget Emilio and Mariska who so warmly welcomed me into their lives? I love you guys!

And hey, if you do buy a copy (and you like it!) would you do me a big favor and stop over at Amazon and post a review? Thank you!!

Mazel Tov! I will happily by purchasing a signed copy...thanks for the discount. The funny thing is that I bought one at full price a couple of days ago from Amazon (could I have been your first purchase?) I sent it to my in-laws for our upcoming Thanksgiving visit. I know we will all enjoy daydreaming about future escapes in Etna's shadow. Congratulations, Karen!

Ciao Karen

Congratulazioni! I loved reading about you and the news on Anna Tasca. Great blog!

When will your book be physically in bookstores in Canada? I'd love to see it.

I love eastern Sicily. Our tour company, Mama Margaret & Friends, offers cooking, walking & meet local people tours under Mount Etna and on Stromboli. Troppo bello!

How do I subscribe to your blog? I'm a technopeasant.

Tanti auguri,
Margaret Cowan

Thanks Margaret (that's my middle name!). I'll have to look up your company. Do you have a website?

Also, good question about bookstores. To be honest, I don't know... I think you can just give them the ISBN and aske them to order a copy? I'm not sure if that obligates you to buy it or not??

I'm also not very tech-savvy, so I'm not sure how to subscribe to the blog other than using a reader (like those listed under the Subscibe to the Post on the right side). However, while we are on vacation this next week I'll try to take some time to look into this. I think it is probably just something I need to upload to the site?? We'll see.

Thanks again for stopping by.
